Geometric Sequences

              Geometric Sequences

Students learn how to work out the nth term of a geometric progression in the form arn-1.

As learning progresses they consider progressions with fraction and negative common ratios.

              Differentiated Learning Objectives
              • All students should be able to find the common ratio of a geometric sequence.
              • Most students should be able to find the common ratio and nth term of a geometric sequence.
              • Some students should be able to solve compound percentage problems using geometric sequences.
