As we approach the end of the school year, my focus is on ending the term strongly — keeping students engaged in their lessons while supporting maths teachers and heads of department getting ready for next year.
I am truly grateful for the hugely positive response I have received about the Improving A-Level subject knowledge weekly resources. The kind emails were very well received and remind me why I love supporting teachers so much. Developing teachers is why I run this site, and your comments were inspiring.
The end-of-term activities have also been a huge success in terms of people playing the games and exploring mathematics in a more free and creative way than traditional lessons.
To see how all of this fits into the bigger picture, you can view my full Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level Long-Term Curriculum Plans to help map out your entire academic year.
Every school day this month, I am releasing a free, targeted resource based on a weekly theme specifically chosen to meet these exact end-of-term priorities. Bookmark my Free Resource of the Day page and check back daily to download them.
Here is my focus for the month ahead and how it directly supports my published Schemes of Work:
Why it matters: Keeping students focused and productive during the final weeks of term is always a challenge. This week there will be a focus on in-class activities that students can explore, including the Towers of Hanoi puzzle, Pull-Up Nets, probability games, and more — high-engagement, mathematically rich tasks to ensure meaningful learning right up to the final bell.
Why it matters: The summer is the ideal time to reflect and prepare. This week will include essential reading for teachers who have new classes next September and a Head of Mathematics’ guide on analysing the summer results to ensure lessons are learnt moving forward. These resources connect directly to my Long-Term Planning Guides across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level.
While I love sharing my Free Resource of the Day, my members get instant, unrestricted access to the complete library of full lesson plans, worksheets, and interactive templates for every single unit in my Schemes of Work. You don’t have to wait for the daily drops. Learn more about becoming a member here.
This section highlights the resources, updates, and content that I brought live over the last month to support your teaching.
All of the resources listed below were added directly to the Member’s Library this month. If you’re already a member, they are ready to download in your dashboard! Not a member yet? Join here to unlock the full archive.
I run this entire site by myself because I am passionate about creating high-quality mathematics resources that drastically reduce teacher workload. If my weekly focuses match your planning goals for next term, consider becoming a member.
Instead of downloading resources piece by piece, a membership fully unlocks my complete, interconnected ecosystem: every Long-Term Plan, every Scheme of Work, and every accompanying Lesson and Worksheet I’ve ever made across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level.
